As a British-Indian, I know the importance of a home cooked meal surrounded by your family. But we don’t always have the time, and sometimes we need a change. I keep hearing Indian food needs meat to taste good?! I’ve taken it as my personal challenge to prove otherwise. My dishes contain all the aromas of India made lovingly with healthier alternatives, fresh locally sourced vegetables and a sprinkle of my own flair.
I'M ANITA AND THIS IS MY KITCHEN.
Delicious handmade dishes with all the traditional Indian flavours
At Anita's Kitchen we aim to be a 'good' business, we locally source all of our ingredients and support other UK businesses as we ourselves are proudly made in Britain. Almost all of our packaging is compostable.

Anita - Founder/Culinary Director
My passion for cooking started from the young age of 10, as a young girl I'd help my mother make meals for our family and huge banquets for our Indian celebrations such as weddings or cultural occasions like diwali. I took my mother's lessons and started to add my own flare over the years and when I eventually married a Scotsman I began exploring ways of combining our traditional foods! My professional experience in working as a retail manager in well known fashion stores helped me find the perfect balance of mixing Indian heritage and British style. My children have been my inspiration in pushing myself out of my comfort zone and following my dream of founding Anita's Kitchen.
